Pirates of the Caribbean

Located within the New Orleans Square portion of Disneyland, California.

To the left is Tarzan's Treehouse.
To the right is Splash Mountain.

One of the most popular attractions at Disneyland, Pirates of the Caribbean is an exciting indoor boat ride, in which you travel through an immersive, larger-than-life pirate adventure featuring gunshots, cannon blasts, burning buildings, and troublemaking pirates.

Your boat initially passes by the wreckage of a ship with a skeleton at the wheel. The river quickly drops 14 feet - at the bottom you encounter a scary dark passage and a battle with a pirate ship firing canon balls at an island fortress.

As your boat passes a village with girls being auctioned off as brides, a pirate yells, "Me wants the red-head!". Who doesn't? Passing under the bridge there are pirates stealing a treasure chest, and an old lady chasing a pirate with a broom.

To the right is an enebriated pirate surrounded by and talking to his only friends - stray cats. You pass under the next bridge to see that the entire town has been set ablaze!

There are three men, a donkey and a dog who are singing along to the merry song "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life for Me"! More pirates are stealing treasure, singing, and carrying the torches which set the city alight. You pass under another bridge - on the right is a pirate passed out and surrounded by pigs. Above a pirate dangles his hairy, dirty leg down.

Prisoners are trying to escape from their jail cell by attempting to befriend a dog who has the jail cell keys in his mouth.
